Ocean’s Keep, is a celebration of Southland and the treasures found within the southern deep. This gin is a testament to the never ending tussle between man and sea.

A taste of the wild ocean air, this gin is crafted from an oat base, with a distillate of Bluff oysters and local botanicals. Briny sea water explodes onto the tongue, followed by fresh shellfish notes, and a luxuriously creamy mouthfeel with a lingering citrus end.

About
The site of Auld Distillery has been growing grain since 1883. Three generations of family – all named Robert – have worked the land in this isolated corner of New Zealand, right at the bottom of the world. Remote and beautiful, Southland is fertile country – perfect for crops. Perfect, too, for cultivating curiosity.

They're passionate about this place they call home. They know the nuances and eccentricities of the land, and follow the change of the seasons; the cycle of growth and harvest. But they wanted to discover more, to see what else they could produce right here on their piece of pastoral paradise: "What if we could bottle the essence of our land, our history, our story."

By combining grain from their paddocks and pure water from their own spring in their onsite distillery, their spirits truly embodies the grain-to-glass philosophy. It’s about patience, curiosity and the desire to create a legacy for the future, beginning in the southernmost distillery in New Zealand.
