Walter Barbiero cello bow

Walter Barbiero trained as a professional violin and viola player before following his passion for bow making. He studied under several master archetiers including period bow maker Nelly Poidevin and modern bow maker Christian Barthe, before becoming one of the most prestigious and recognised bow makers in Italy, supplying bows to many exceptional string players. His aim is to make bows with great technical abilities that draw a smooth, elegant sound and this beautiful cello bow exemplifies his intentions superbly. Articulation is clean and seemingly effortless, spiccato is well-defined and legato strokes are clean yet warm and immaculately steady.
