Singlets Parahau Design

The name of this design is called Parahau, parahau meaning to defend or protect.  It is a commonly known word used in the Ngāti Maniapoto tribe of New Zealand.  The design has been created by my niece who is all of 14 years old interpreting her world view of having whanau members going through the cancer journey.
The Koru- meaning new life, growth strength and peace
The PÅ«horo- is most known as a tattoo that can be found on the legs and buttocks of male descendants of māori lineage  It represents the strength, the speed and swiftness of the warrior’s body.  It also refer’s to the Māori god of the sea Tangaroa.  Who is know to be clam but also known to be destructive at the some time.
The two designs combined to create the Parahau symbolises a shield in the last stand and fight against cancer and is specifically placed on the shoulder where we tend to carry the weight of this life threatening disease. 80% Nylon-20% Spandex Soft breathable fabric
