Variegated Bears Paw - Cotyledon Tomentosa

Officially known as Cotyledon Tomentosa, bear paw succulents have thick, fuzzy green leaves with dark red toothed ends. Orange, bell-shaped flowers  can be seen in the spring.

Where to Plant: Since Cotyledon tomentosa is not cold hardy, if you live in a zone that gets colder than -1° C, it's best to plant this succulent in a container that can be brought indoors. It does well in full to partial sun.

Light: Indoors, the plant does best in a window that faces south or a bright area where it can get at least six hours of indirect sunlight every day. If you want to add bear paws to a succulent garden outside, look for a bright shaded spot where the plant won’t get too much direct sunlight.

Watering: For watering, bear paws are similar to other succulents in that you only need to water them when the soil is completely dry. Make sure it’s in well-drained soil too, so it doesn’t suffer from overwatering if it ever rains. Deep watering in hot summer months will keep this plant healthy. Do not allow the water to collect in saucer if planted in pot.

Fertiliser: Light Fertilizer only during the active spring – summer growing months. Use slow-release fertiliser or cactus succulent food to feed this plant.

This plant will be supplied in 10cm pot. Photos taken from current lot. Plants are plants, they all grow differently. Plants with same age may have different growth and size. We will pick best one for you from our current stock.
