We recommend soaking them in cold water before washing them.  If after a few months, you want to freshen them up, soak them in white vinegar for 10 minutes before the wash.  Do not use a dryer, as high temperatures can damage the leakproof layer. Line dry only. 

If suits you, the ideal "changing  routine " would be changing in the morning - put the used panties in a bucket with cold water; and change again in the evening, adding the second used panty to the bucket with cold water. Then wash them both by themselves or with other  clothes.  Depending on how many undies you have, wait  for the third and fourth used undies, to wash the 4 x together.
