Ethiopia Limmu

Please note: All our single origin coffees are roasted to order, what this means is we will roast your single origin order on the next work day and will be shipped out the following work day. If you require it ground ie for plunger, then we would rest the coffee beans for a few days before grinding and shipping.

Another great coffee from our friends at Langdon Coffee Merchants. This coffee comes from a private farm owned by Mohammed Lalo and his family in Ethiopia. The farm has over 33 plots with heirloom varietals grown on 200 hectares of land.

They use organic matter, including natural fertiliser from pulped cherries, as their main fertiliser. The cherries are selectively hand harvested and processed using an Eco pulper for a fully washed lot. The coffee goes through fermentation for 24 hours and is dried on raised drying tables. The drying process takes approximately 13-20 days, with constant sorting and movement of the parchment.

The coffee is highly valued for its cup profile and traceability. The cup profile is described as refined and complex with high notes of stone fruit, dark chocolate, and bergamot, reflecting the family's attention to detail and care in their farming practices.

Here at Little Things Micro-Roastery our coffee is air roasted to give a cleaner taste and smoother finish. We have two roast styles to choose from, an espresso focused roast giving more body to the coffee and a filter focused roast giving more acidity to the coffee.

We would love any feedback to help fine tune our roasting recipe as we roast in small batches.
