Inspired by the Sacred Kingfisher, Te Kōtare's turquoise adult kākahu feature blending rooster coque feathers ranging from black, royal blue, to turquoise and natural brown and white, with a turquoise patiki taniko band (2.5 inch). Crafted with a timeless aesthetic, these unisex pieces are made by a whanau (family) business in Aotearoa (New Zealand) according to tikanga (cultural customs) guidance of kaumatua (elders) and have featured in world-renowned publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler and Glamour Magazine.
