Fa'utaha Wave 1 05

This stunning pair of earrings were created from masi.

For this FA’UTAHA collection Koloa receives panels from @fele home who has involved collaborators to adorn and share the abundance that remains from many ongoing cultural responsibilities , community projects and collaborative learning together as friends and family based here in Aotearoa and through the pacific. The smaller panels they are exploring are an ideal and versatile size to engage with in home settings and share conversation around as mothers & daughters with the company of elderly and young. This first wave in the collection features tutuki motifs on masi from the homes of collaborators in Fiji.

They have then been encased in resin by Koloa Jewellery.

This pair of earrings is approximately 6cm in length.

All our findings are hypoallergenic or stainless steel.

Any imperfections are to be expected with handmade items and add to their uniqueness and authenticity.
