Wall Plaque - Karearea

This beautiful "Kārearea" layered wall plaque will add a touch of creativity and sophistication to your home.
The Kārearea is renowned for its agile flight, enabling it to pursue prey with remarkable speed and precision. Within Māori culture, the Kārearea holds deep significance, symbolising strength, agility, and mana. It was also believed that the cry of the Kārearea could predict the weather. If the bird called on a sunny day, it would rain the next day; if it called in rainy conditions, it would be clear the next day.

Comprised of engraved and layered design elements, drawing inspiration from traditional kōwhaiwhai patterns and Moko (Māori tattoo), this piece harmoniously blends tradition with a contemporary touch.
