ŌTAUTAHI Teeshirts

This awesome Ōtautahi teeshirt is designed by ChristchurchNZ, and celebrates the whenua we live on, under the korowai of the mana whenua Ngāi Tahu.

This brand new design incorporates the 'C' of Christchurch and the 'Ō' of Ōtautahi, suggesting the shape of the Avon River through the central city influenced by haehae, or parallel lines of Māori carving.

Available in BLACK or LAVENDER. Each come with an info swing card.

The Māori name for Christchurch is Ōtautahi, derived from 'Tautahi' the Ngāi Tahu Rangatira from Koukourarata (Port Levy). He built his settlement on the banks of the Ōtākaro (Avon) river in the vicinity of the Avon loop, serving as a centre for political and economic activity. More info HERE
