NZ Pounamu Koru Heart pendant

This beautiful large Koru pendant is individually hand-carved from genuine New Zealand pounamu (greenstone). Each piece has unique characteristics formed over millions of years, giving them their own identity, colour and character.

This Koru Heart taonga depicts the shape of an unfurling fern frond. In Māori culture, the young shoots of the fern traditionally symbolises new life, growth and rejuvenation. It's captured inside a Manawa heart, a contemporary shape - this beautiful large pendant is a blend of the old and the new.
