Royal Albert Old English Rose teacup & saucer set

Made in England

Condition: New

The Old English Rose pattern was used by Royal Albert from 1927 to 1935, but and did not include the pattern name. The same pattern was later re-produced with a lighter gold after World War II and called Old English Rose. The name of the pattern was then added to the backstamp and kept in production until the late 1970s.

Although no longer produced - making this a rare and treasured find - Old English Rose is synonymous with Royal Albert and fabulous British tea parties. The motifs of lush deep red and soft pink roses were inspired by a quintessentially English country garden in full bloom, designed in flamboyant flair and accented with lustrous gold banding.

Royal Albert's modern day version of this pattern is Old Country Rose. Teacup & saucer sets from Royal Albert's Old Country Rose collection sell in Ballantynes for $299 each. The average selling for this Old English Rose teacup & saucer set by auction houses and high end antique stores is $115 (US$70)

This is an elegant piece for your collection or as a gift to a friend or loved one.

NOTE This teaset was a 21st present received over 40 years ago, and has been living in her "hope chest" ever since. It has never been used. Our sell price is lower than the market average because the item does not come in a Royal Albert box. However we do send it in a beautiful box nonetheless.

Teacup and saucer set include a side of milk (bottles), as in the pictures.
