Pikorua / Twist and Koru Combination Pendant

The Pikorua and Koru Combination pendant is 73mm in length and 37mm at its widest.  It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa Area, just outside of Greymouth, on the West Coast of the South Island.

The Pikorua has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water.  The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.

Pendant Meaning :  The Pikorua / twist represents the paths of life and love, and the joining of lives in love or friendship for eternity.  Though sometimes you will be apart from each other you will always come back together again.

It also has the Koru which symbolises the new shoots of the fern plant opening.  It represents growth, harmony and new beginnings.  It is also used to represent an individual, the family as a whole, an event, time, place, achievement or accomplishment in life.  It is up to the wearer what the Koru represents.
