Large Dark Hei Matau/Hook Pendant

The pendant is 67mm in length and 31mm at its widest.   It is  carved from pounamu we have collected from the Kumara area, just inland between Greymouth and Hokitika, on the West Coast of the South Island.  It is shaped on the back so that it is comforting to rub while being worn.

The Hei Matau has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water.  The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.  

Pendant Meaning :  The Hei Matau / hook gives the wearer strength and determination.

It brings peace, prosperity and good health.  

It also provide the wearer with a safe journey through life - both a safe physical journey, especially over water and also helps them get through any hardships and tough times they may face.
