This is an early Wool Vintage blanket somewhere in the realm of 100 years  old.  No label to give us more detailed information but a very fine example of the durability of wool

This is a light weight blanket of pure wool.  It has firm non-fluffy, almost slightly coarse feel similar to vintage uniform fabric.

Woven in shades of brown, cream, rust red and a detail of orange.

Usual car rug size of 140cm x 160cm.  

Tassels to the top and bottom edges.

This blanket has four patch repairs. There is the odd blemish to be expected for its age.

No makers label but we can confirm this blanket is 100% wool and most likely made in New Zealand.  A Fresh Retro Love, Restore to Relove label has been added to one corner.

A wonderful blanket that would be ideal as an addition to the vintage car or war memorabilia collection.
