Palmerston North aka Palmy is nestled in the Manawatū region in the lower North Island. A university town and famous for farming, NZ's Rugby Museum, boy racers and rose gardens, this mixed bag destination is definitely worth a visit if you want to see relaxed Kiwi provincial life in action.
