Many waterproof jackets designed for New Zealand or North America are too heavy, hot and bulky for variable weather conditions. 
 
What is needed is a tough, lightweight, breathable jacket of a functional design that can be quickly put on and taken off as required because the reality is that it will spend most of its time packed away.
 
At a finished weight of only 395gms the Packjacket's lightweight military spec Aushield20K fabric, combined with the highest quality seam sealing, provides extreme water proofness and maximum breathe-ability. 
 
Generous proportions to the Packjacket's cut mean that will fit easily over your clothing and hang low enough to prevent water running down your backside but the Packjacket rolls up quite small to take up minimal space inside your pack.
