Climate change threatens the basic elements of life for people around the world - access to water, food, health, and use of land and the environment. On current trends, average global temperatures could rise by 2-3 degrees celsius within the next fifty years or so, leading to many severe impacts, often mediated by water, including more frequent droughts and floods.

An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, including sea level and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. These changes may increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as floods, droughts, heat waves, hurricanes, and tornados. Other consequences include higher or lower agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of diesease vectors. Warming is expected to affect the number and magnitude of these events.

Our Earth brings to you the evidence that we all have largely ignored. We examine the causes and look at how we can help save our planet.
