Bespoke Shore Excursion. Ex Port of Timaru.

Join this small group bespoke tour from the port of Timaru.

Your guide will meet you off the ship at 830 am and take you for a short driving tour of the city of Timaru. There is a chance to shop and explore if you wish. We then travel for 35 mins through a varied farming landscape to the vibrant little town of Geraldine. Your guides hometown, they will enjoy showing you the array of galleries, gift shops and museums available. There is a lovely nature walk in the township and many cafes to relax and enjoy a coffee. We can view a sheep shearing demonstration by traditional blades and then by machine. An addition available is to then travel 25 mins into the foothills to visit Peel Forest Park with its lush rainforest of 1000 year old native trees. A visit to the nearby historic Mt Peel sheep station and its stunning little stone church is a great example of early settler history in high country.

We return to the port by 4pm.
