Super Hydrating Face Cream with Geranium and Organic Rosehip

I started making and using my Face Cream just for myself because I wanted something natural and gorgeous to use on my skin, which definitely needed much more hydration after I moved to New Zealand in 2005. Back in those days natural skin care was a rare thing.

And at 40-years-old I needed more hydration than when I was younger and that is just basic physiology — our skin becomes drier and more dehydrated as we get a wee bit older. Keeping it hydrated and protected is key to having an intact skin barrier which in turn leads to healthy, glowing skin⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I made this Face Cream and used it for 12 years before I ever thought of selling it but to this day, each jar is still made and poured by hand.  I have used it twice a day for the past 17 years (no swapping products for me) and, if I say so myself, I have pretty good skin now.

I use the same six gorgeous antioxidant-rich oils that I used when I was making just for myself and as the Herald beauty editor said it smells great, nourishes the skin and lifts the senses and is “a well-formulated moisturiser that is simple but hardly basic."

Use in the morning under your SPF and make-up. We do not have SPF in our Face Cream because I recommend you use a dedicated sunblock: a product that is made to protect you from the sun and only that. You will not be able to apply enough of a SPF make-up or SPF face cream to get the coverage that’s required to protect you from the sun. And it's hard to apply these products evenly enough for proper protection. The reason sunblock needs to be reapplied every two hours is because it becomes clumped or uneven (like your make-up does) and that allows the UV rays to get through.

Use our Face Cream at night as the last step in your routine: apply to a clean face and after serums and oils (if you use those). Why it works
